Veneer Display

Veneer sheets, also known as decorative wood veneer, are thin sheets of wood glued onto a backing material like plywood or MDF to create a more aesthetically pleasing and durable finish. These sheets are typically very thin, ranging from 0.4mm to 3mm, with common thicknesses being 0.5mm, 0.55mm, or 0.6mm.

Thickness:

  • • Standard: 0.4mm, 0.5mm, 0.55mm, or 0.6mm
  • • Thick Veneers: 0.8mm, 1.0mm, 1.5mm, 2mm, 3mm, or even 4mm.

  • Material:

  • • Wood Species: Oak, walnut, teak, beech, maple, sapele, cherry, and bamboo are popular choices.
  • • Backing Material: Plywood or MDF

  • Grades:

  • • AA: Premium face grade for architectural paneling, interiors, and furniture.
  • • A: Excellent appearance, but not as high-end as AA.
  • • B: Desirable natural characteristics and appearance.
  • • C: More economical, allows for unlimited color and natural characteristics.
  • • D & E: Provide sound surfaces, allow unlimited color variation and repairs, and are suitable for hidden surfaces.
  • • Back Grades (1-4): Vary in requirements for defects and repairs.

  • Size:

  • • Standard Sheet Size: 1220mm x 610mm (4' x 2').
  • • Larger Sizes: 2600mm x 1200mm, 2400mm x 1200mm.

  • Other Considerations:

  • • Application: Interior decoration, furniture, flooring, and more. .
  • • Surface Finish: Matte, gloss, or other finishes are available.
  • • BIS Certification: May be required for certain types of veneered decorative plywood.
  • • Veneer Matching: Various methods like running match, book match, and special matches (box, diamond, etc.) are used to create different patterns.
